First thing’s first! Where do you want to go?

I hate asking myself that question. Spinning the globe with my eyes closed and seeing where my finger lands don’t work for me.

There are SO many amazing destinations around the world that are just waiting for us to come and discover but the thing is, we just can’t go there as we please.

Maybe you can relate:

  • If you have kids and they are in school, you can only leave when they are off from school. Yes, they can miss a day or two of school but personally, I hate doing that. If the teacher bothers to show up, so should your kid. Also, my kids are in a private French school, so I pay for them to go there. Missing an extra week of school is not an option.
  • If you or your husband (like mine) work in construction and live in Canada, your vacation time is imposed. You get 2 weeks off at the end of the year for the holidays and 2 weeks off in the middle of summer.

What should you do?

If traveling is something new for you, start by creating a bucket list of places to visit. You can easily make a travel board on Pinterest or save pictures through your Instagram account.

Our desire to travel is often sparked by stumbling upon a beautiful image of a distant place and adding it to our travel bucket list.
